How To

How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets are a favorite breakfast food of mine. How can you make them perfectly? I've tried many different methods and recipes, but none of them seem to work! So I wanted to share some tips and tricks so that you can make delicious, fluffy omelets every morn.

We should first know that eggs are very temperamental ingredients when making omelets. It is important that eggs are fresh from an organic market and kept cool until used. They must be kept cool, otherwise the whites will not form properly and the yolks may become runny. This can make your omelets look bizarrely colored. If you want to make omelets right away, it's best not to use eggs that are too cold.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

If you add the egg directly onto the stovetop, you might end up burning the bottom part of the egg, which would ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, put the egg in the microwave for 10 seconds before putting it into the pan. The microwave heat cooks your egg just right, without it becoming too soft.

Next, let us talk about how to mix the eggs. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. To do this, grab the bowl of the mixer and turn it upside down. Now shake the bowl vigorously. This will whip the air around the bowl and mix the egg well.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. Mix half of the milk with the eggs. Then fold the eggs in half into the remaining milk. You don't need to worry if streaks remain. They will disappear once you flip your omelet.

After folding the eggs fold the pan onto medium heat. When the oil starts to hot, wait for the pan to cook. Add 1/4 cup butter to the oil and swirl it around to coat all sides of the pan. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. An additional pinch of salt will prevent the omelet form sticking to your pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe works best with whole milk, but skimmed milk also works.
