How To

How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets are a favorite breakfast food of mine. How can you make them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. I have some tips and tricks to help you make delicious, fluffy omelets every single morning.

We should first know that eggs are very temperamental ingredients when making omelets. They must be fresh, preferably from the organic market, and be kept cold until cooking. You must keep them cool enough to allow the whites to form properly and the yolks to become too runny if they're not kept at the right temperature. Your omelets will look strangely colored if this happens. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. You don't want the white to get mixed with the yolk, as this could cause the egg to curdle.

You could end up burning the bottom half of the egg if the egg is added directly to the heat source. Instead, place the egg in the microwave for 10 second before you put it in the skillet. The microwave heat is sufficient to cook the egg without overcooking.

Next, let's talk about mixing the eggs. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. You can do this by turning the bowl of your mixer upside down. Then, vigorously shake the bowl. This way, the air inside the bowl gets whipped around and mixes the egg thoroughly.

The fun part begins - you need to pour the milk into your mixture. First, pour half of the milk into the beaten eggs and then fold the eggs gently into the remaining milk. Do not be alarmed if there are still egg streaks visible. Once the omelet flips, these streaks will disappear.

After you have folded the eggs, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil has started to sizzle, turn the heat down to low. Once the oil starts getting hot, add 1/4 cup of butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the entire surface of the pan. Next, carefully open the lid and sprinkle salt into your pan. A pinch of salt will prevent your omelet from sticking in the pan.

Once the omelet has formed completely, cover the pan and let it set for a few minutes. Flip the omelet over using a spatula or flip the pan upside down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Take the omelet out of the pan and immediately serve.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
